Snowy winter days are made for wrapping your hands around a warm mug filled with your favorite hot beverage.  But when your caffeine quota is up, you are bored with the usual choices, or you tire of expensive Starbucks teas, it is time to open your pantry and create some simple, delightful, and practically zero cost home “brews”!

As a TuckTop fan, you already have the perfect way to carry your phone and small essentials, freeing your hands to nestle a mug, but did you know holding a warm beverage can also make you a warmer, as in kinder, person?

Studies out of Yale University and the University of Colorado at Boulder showed that holding something warm makes people view others more charitably and predisposes them to be generous.  If enjoyment isn’t enough, the promise of being a better person is a great reason to tuck your phone and free your hands to grab a cuppa!

Your pantry likely contains most of the ingredients you need for these highly aromatic herbal mixes.  If not, improvise and get creative. All measurements are approximate so adjust to your personal taste. Remember, steeping in hot water means a little goes a long way.

Simply place the items in a teapot or single cup tea infuser and add boiling or very hot water.  Let steep for a minute or two and enjoy.  You can even steep the ingredients directly in your mug, just drink carefully!

The seven flavor combinations below are delicious and easy to prepare, and they double as aroma therapy in a mug.  Inhale deeply for guaranteed smiles, serenity, and an outlook of kindness to the world.
